The DFC is an interdisciplinary network of U.S. design, product and construction leaders looking to advance innovation and shape the future of the commercial building industry.

The honorary distinction is awarded annually to outstanding individuals who have provided noteworthy leadership to the advancement of design, design solutions, or the design profession.

This assignment was followed by Morrison's selection as President, Kawneer North America, and in 2010 he was named President of the Alcoa Building and Construction Systems business unit.
