Speculation has been rife over the mysterious tattoo spotted on Katie Holmes' wrist recently.
And though it is thought that the design is a temporary henna substitute, it shows no signs of fading so far.
The star was accompanied on a trip out in Beverly Hills by her adorable daughter Suri, where cameras caught the two chain symbol looking clear as ever.

The pair were were making their way to a nearby office for a quick meeting before continuing with their day.
Suri looked far more comfortable with the surrounding paparazzi than her enigmatic mother.
The adorable tot looked as picture perfect as ever, rocking cute bunches with a bright raspberry coloured dress and leaf design handbag.
Perhaps Suri knows the secret behind the star's unusual inking.
It has been suggested that Katie chose the tattoo as a token of her love for Tom Cruise, who she has been married to for five years.
The actress was famously envious when Victoria Beckham had a Hebrew inscription of the words 'Together, Forever, Eternally' permanently inked on her wrist to commemorate 10 years of marriage to David.

But when she voiced her desire to make a similar gesture as a mark of her love for husband Tom, Mr Cruise was apparently adamantly against the idea.
Sources even said he 'desperately' tried to talk her out of it.
So perhaps the purportedly henna design is a more subtle compromise for the Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark star.
Another theory is that the design has something to do with an as yet undisclosed movie or TV role- if she has time to spare on her packed agenda that is.
Katie has recently flown back to Los Angeles from a business trip to New York, and has already thrown herself into preparations for red carpet appearances for her upcoming films, the thriller The Son of No One and comedy Jack and Jill.
