Disney's not afraid to take on a little bit of the dark side for big laughs.

In response to trailers for the American version of "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," the Muppets, namely Miss Piggy and Kermit, do their own spoof in a 90 second trailer of their upcoming November Muppets movie.

The trailer, "The Pig with the Froggy Tattoo" may need watching more than once. The music is so alive, so booming and just crazy, it's hard to focus on what's happening on screen, other than the exaggerated subtitles that narrate the the trailer's reason for being.

And in a really snarky move, the trailer announces that it couldn't get the rights to the dragon tattoo music score, so they hired their own musician. Well, the music is the first best feature of the trailer, so in the event that Disney actually tried for the dragon tattoo girl score, the best that could have happened actually did. The music in the Muppet trailer is crazy.

There've been several trailers, this is the fourth, for the Muppet Movie that's due in theaters on November 23. The first "Green With Envy" pretty much introduced viewers to a new Muppet movie scheduled for release in about 10 months.

"Green with Envy" trailer premiered with the first showings of the 2011 "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie in February. Two more trailers, one parodying the Hangover, and other parodying the Green Lantern followed. The Green Lantern trailer was really well received. The Muppets creators and people responsible for the "Pig with the Froggy Tattoo" however are totally out of the box and off the hook with this one. It's really unexpected, but expected of the Muppets and recalls the sophisticated humor that makes the Muppets and certain Sesame Street skits so special. The ability of writers and creators to share with younger people comedic translations of a very humorous, yet incredibly adult literature and film.

The new Muppet movie's plot centers on the world's three biggest Muppet fans who discover an oil man's plan to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for oil. The three fans, Mary, Gary and Walter plan a $10 million fund raiser to save the theater.Jason Segal and Nick Stogall, the writer and director duo of the comedy-romance "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" wrote the 2011 Muppet movie script.

The primary cast stars Amy Adams as Mary and Jason Segal as Gary. Chris Cooper stars as the Texas oilman and the third character, Walter, the third biggest Muppet fan on earth is a Muppet puppet, best friend of Mary and Gary. Walter is the type of Muppet fan that faints when he meets Kermit the Frog.

Aside from the primary cast, there are a number of cameo appearances by top billing Hollywood stars.Kathy Griffin, Lady Gaga, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Judd Hirsch, Selena Gomez, Mickey Rooney, Ben Stiller, Wanda Sykes, Alan Arkin, James Carville, and Jack Black are all cameo guest stars in "The Muppets."
